Nursing Schools Almanac has just launched its third annual Aspiring Nurse Scholarship. Our website will award a $1,000 scholarship to an aspiring nurse who best demonstrates:
+ A track record of academic excellence, particularly in science and mathematics
+ A passion for the nursing profession and the overall field of healthcare
This scholarship is open to all high school seniors who plan to pursue college education in nursing, including LPN / LVN, ADN, and BSN programs. Scholarship applications will be accepted until midnight on June 30, 2017.

"Aspiring Fashion Professional" Scholarship. This is a $1,000 scholarship that will be awarded to students that are interested in pursuing a fashion degree at an accredited post-secondary school or college. Interested students can visit this link www.fashion-schools.org and find the scholarship located at the bottom of the page and click on it.
"Aspiring Animation Professional" Scholarship Program. This is the 5th year we are awarding this scholarship for AnimationCareerReview.com. We are offering high school seniors the opportunity to win a $1,000 scholarship. This will be awarded to students that are interested in pursuing an animation career path at an accredited post-secondary school or college. The 3rd scholarship was started late last year and is being offered again this year. "Aspiring Business Professional" Scholarship. This is a $1,000 scholarship that will be awarded to students that are interested in pursuing a business degree at any accredited post-secondary school or college. The deadline for all scholarships is June 1, 2017.
Khalil Khan and the other attorneys at the firm are proud to offer a generous $1,000.00 scholarship to a student of their choosing. To qualify for this scholarship:
1)You must currently be enrolled in or have been accepted to (and planning to attend) a college or university in the United States.
2)You must be able to provide an official school transcript or acceptance letter verifying your enrollment.
3)You must have a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0.
4)Write an essay explaining your plans for your education.

2017 AMERICAN LEGION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS
Basic Criteria for Scholarship Awards
The student must be a resident of Missouri. Applicants must be under the age of 21, unmarried and a descendant* of a veteran with at least ninety days active service in the U. S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines or Coast Guard, who received an Honorable Discharge for such service. A photocopy of the veteran's DD 214, discharge or separation notice must accompany the scholarship application. Any additional requirements for each scholarship are on the reverse side of the application.
Lillie Lois Ford Scholarship Fund - Two awards of $1,000 each are given each year. One to a boy who has attended a full session of The American Legion Boys State of Missouri or a full session of the Department's Cadet Patrol Academy. The second award is given to a girl who has attended a full session of The American Legion Auxiliary's Girls State program or a full session of the Department's Cadet Patrol Academy.
M.D. "Jack" Murphy Memorial Nurses Training Fund - Currently one $1,000 award is given for two successive semesters, and may, by application, be extended for two additional successive semesters. This award is available to a Missouri boy or girl training to be a Registered Nurse, and may be used in their freshman or subsequent college years. The student must have graduated in the top forty percent of their high school class or have a "C" or equivalent standing from their last college or university semester. Scholarships are awarded for one year, payable $375 per semester.
Joseph J. Frank Scholarship – Five awards of $750.00 are given annually to individuals who are descendants of a veteran. Applicant must have attended a full session of The American Legion Boys State or The American Legion Auxiliary Girls State program. Applicants must be unmarried, under the age of 21, a current resident of the state of Missouri and must use the scholarship as a full time student in an accredited college or university.
Charles L. Bacon Memorial Scholarship - Two awards of $750.00 are given annually in memory of the first Missourian to serve as National Commander of The American Legion. Eligible are individuals who are currently members of The American Legion, the American Legion Auxiliary, or the Sons of The American Legion, or a descendant* of a member of any thereof. Applicants must be unmarried, a resident of Missouri, under the age of 21, and must use the scholarship as a full-time student in an accredited college or university and.
Erman W. Taylor Memorial Scholarship - Two $750.00 awards are given annually to a student planning on obtaining a degree in education, in honor of this Past National Executive Committeeman from Missouri. To be eligible, individuals must: (1) be a descendant* of a veteran who served 90 or more days of active duty in the armed forces and having an honorable discharge; (2) be a Missouri resident; (3) use the award as a full-time student at an accredited college or university; (4) provide a copy of the discharge certificate for the veteran on whose the application is made; and (6) submit an essay of 500 words or less on the
subject In your opinion, what was the most significant world event of 2015/2016?
Shane Dean Voyles Memorial Scholarship - One $750.00 award will be awarded, annually. (1) Each school in the State of Missouri may nominate one student to be considered for the award. (2) The nominee will be selected on athletic, scholastic and leadership abilities. The nominee should be deeply involved in community and school activities. (4) Must use the award as a full-time student at an accredited college or university.

Students can go to www.astate.edu/scholarships to find our privately funded scholarships application. One application applies you for hundreds of scholarships donated by our generous A-State alumni. The amounts range from $100 to $10,000 in scholarship dollars. The criteria could be anything from academic, need-based, where you’re from, or even what you’re going to study.

The United States JCI Senate Foundation awards $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors in the United States who plan to continue their education at accredited post-secondary colleges, universities or vocational schools.
The Missouri JCI Senate will pick 2 nominees to represent Missouri for the US JCI Senate scholarships. The Missouri JCI Senate will present these 2 winners each a $250 scholarship. There will be four $250 scholarships given. This is available to Missouri residents only.

Show-Me Chapter of the Soil and Water Conservation Society
The Show-Me Chapter offers a $2000 scholarship for a high school senior, or undergraduate, planning to major in conservation or a natural resources-related field. This is an essay contest. Conservation Foundation of Missouri Scholarship
CFMO offers 5 - $1000 scholarships to high school seniors or undergraduates in different natural resources areas. Preference will be given to those demonstrating financial need. Horatio Alger Scholarships - great scholarship opportunities. The new Career and Technical Scholarship is for students already enrolled in a post-secondary program. As of yesterday, of 510 scholarships available, 275 have been awarded. This has a rolling deadline and will remain open until all have been given out. The one for 2017 grads will open in the spring. The Horatio Alger Scholarship for seniors pursuing a four year college degree is also open. The deadline , however, is October 25. There were only 66 finished applications yesterday.
